Fun Family Trip

Every summer my family and I go to Wrightsville Beach. We have a beach house there in a neighborhood called Sea Oats. It is around a five hour drive from where I live. One of our favorite things my brothers and I like to do when we are down there is go fishing. We have been going to this one dock since I can remember to fish. While we usually only catch little fish it is still a lot of fun. Something funny that happened this past summer had to do with fishing. When we go fishing we always buy shrimp bait to fish with. When we went to the store to get the shrimp bait they were all out and only had squid left. We ended up buying squid and it did not go very well at all. That day my brothers and I only caught around 2 fish each when we usually catch much more than that. While we were fishing the lid to the squid bait flew into the water and we couldn’t get it back. So I decided to place the squid into a plastic bag and tie it up. When we got back to our beach house I placed the plastic bag with the squid in it outside in the back yard because I did not want to bring it inside and having the house smell like squid since it did not have a lid on it. The next morning when I went outside the squid was all over the backyard and the plastic bag and been torn into. I was very confused on what kind of animal did that until the neighbor had told us that they had been seeing a stray cat come around. Safe to say we never bought squid again and never left our bait outside!
